Volunteering - Portsmouth Advice Service
Our Portsmouth Advice Service helps masses of people on a drop in basis. We have volunteers in the service helping people waiting to access information/leaflets/ websites/information on benefits whilst they are waiting to see our advisors. If you have some knowledge around legal issues or benefits then this could be the volunteer role for you.
Or if none of these options appeal to you tell us your volunteering ideas and we will see if they could work.
As a volunteer at YOU you can expect to be treated as a professional, supported by our staff members, and your expenses, such as travel costs, will be repaid. We will offer a full company and service induction into your role. Being a volunteer doesn’t affect any benefits you may be claiming.
