Our governing document, The Articles of Association was last amended in 2010. Responsibility for the day to day operation of YOU and the delivery of our services rests with the Chief Executive and the Trust Management Team. YOU and Businesses
An expert and experienced provider of person-centred social-care and advice services covering a wide range of needs and situations. We work with many thousands of people every year, involving them closely in what we do and how we do it; In some situations we offer accommodation as well as support. We are funded mainly through public sources, tendering on a competitive basis for many of the services that we provide. We always welcome approaches and enquiries (Just for YOU) about our services and requests that will fit new situations. We encourage individuals to talk directly to us to arrange services which suit their needs and at reasonable cost
YOU and the Community
Our services can provide the only lifeline between people who may be vulnerable, isolated and socially excluded and the services they need and the communities in which they live. We can only deliver effective outcomes to those individuals through adequate funding which is supported by a range of national and local policies. We believe passionately that our direct experience and detailed knowledge is invaluable as a means of informing local commissioning as well as regional and national strategies. We work extensively with many individuals, groups and partner organisations from the statutory, private and third sectors. We discuss, share and promote many of these matters through a range of social media.
YOU and People
Every year we touch the lives of many thousands of people. We have a total workforce of some 450 employees and an increasing number of volunteers. Our service users depend upon us and our values underpin all of our services and our Staff Code of Conduct. We invest significantly in staff development and learning because we know that a difficult job requires the right skills and tools to get it done well.
