What do YOU do?
Sometimes we find we could use a bit of support, advice or even care when things go wrong in our lives. Some people need us around for a short time until their problem is fixed. Others, for example, have a learning disability and like us to support them for the long haul. YOU is here for many people, maybe you too. Each year, we touch the lives of many thousands of people. We employee a large, skilled team whose job is to work with you, supporting you, and often going the extra mile because we want you to have the life that you want. We also have a range of assistive technology in our Smart Living range. Whatever your needs are, we build person centred services, because we put YOU first.
Where do you work?
The majority of our work is in Portsmouth, Hampshire or Dorset but that doesn’t mean we can’t do something for you. If you’re unsure if we can help you or work in your area, please get in touch. We’d love to see what we can do.
How do I contact you?
If you like what you see about a particular service, you’ll find details of ‘who and how’ to talk to us at the bottom of the page. If you’re unsure then click contact us where you can get in touch with our head office. If you’d rather, you can type in what you’re looking for and the area you live in and we’ll take you to the services in your area.
If you’re already receiving support, your Key Worker can also contact us on your behalf – either directly or through the appropriate panel such as your local Supported Housing Panel. Some of our services, such as All Saints Direct Access and our Basingstoke Homelessness Services can be directly accessed. This means, if you just turn up, we can help you there and then, whatever the time of day.
We also have a number of leaflets and brochures which you can either download from this website or ask someone for. We’d be more than happy to send you further information about any of our services.
Can I make referrals?
Some services will allow you to make direct (personal) referrals such as our Direct Access Hostels. Other services will need you to be referred via a panel. Please let us know which service you’re interested in and we’ll tell you how to make a referral either for yourself or another person.
Can I work for you?
YOU is always happy to accept applications for permanent, part time and sessional staff as well as volunteers. We advertise all our jobs on our LifeChangers website as well as in local newspapers and sometimes at job fairs. Premier Crew, our internal staffing agency, provides sessional work and work for people who are looking to get into this area of work for the first time.
